IGNITION - POWER CONSUMPTION

A fully charged battery should be 13.2v
2.2volts per battery cell X 6 cells

Yeah I suspect I was skating around the edges of too low last summer - all three lights on, heated grips on, heated gloves also on (it was crazy cold and my hands were unhappy) and was charging the phone constantly to boot. The bike started turning over more sluggishly at refueling stops... so I shut down one heat source. Should have more headroom this year with all LED up front.

Rule 1 - Fit Voltmeter. And these are **** good http://www.sparkbright.co.uk/battery-voltage-monitors.php

Andrew would set them up to your spec - so for example I had him turn the Green LED off after 5seconds if everything is OK

Don't really have a good place to put one, trying to keep the handlebars clean. Though I do have the Triumph stock grip heater control on there already, a giant black box. What the hell were they thinking? But I digress... may work something out next winter, thanks for the link.

Mine is in the FUGLY BLACK PLASTIC BOX for the Triumph fog-light switch - has another hole for the heated grips - It is PERFECT positioning. Photos later on - OK?
