If there was 2 things you could add or change on the Rocket 3 what would they be?

1) HID lights
2)Hydraulic clutch
( trying to be original )

I'm not sure ,but is there any reason not to fit a grease nipple yourself

I cannot see a reason why not ,it would be easy to drill and tap the housing for a grease nipple,if I could find an old housing and have a look inside exactly what goes on in there, you would only need a small (4mm) drilling after the nipple as not to weaken the housing and then a 6mm drilling tapped for a plug half way up the housing to allow excess grease to escape during greasing and not allow over greasing and risking seal failure may have a go at this using wheel bearing grease ,maybe someone may have a reason why this is not a feasible idea, just putting the idea out there

The spline teeth that need the grease, are INSIDE the female coupling, and turn well clear - perhaps 10mm? - of the inner walls of the swingarm tube.

A grease nipple in the swingarm tube would simply pump huge amounts of grease into the tube, right up as far as the engine, and it would be most unlikely that ANY of it would get into the splines where it's needed.

You would end up with a swingarm tube full of grease, which is no use to man or dog, and quite probably STILL run the risk of dry splines.

Thought about this years ago. Can't see any possible benefit.

Which is very sad!!!

you would have to drill and tap the spleen it's self then screw in the nipple then it would be out of balance so you might want to put another nipple on the opposite side to get the grease where it should go, assuming there is enough room between the spleen and swing arm tube, then an access hole in the swing arm say 12mm diameter to line up with the nipple in the spleen and a plastic bung to cover the 12mm hole

Think ill just stick to greasing it when i change tires . Its never been a problem so far
