I have a contusion on my right ring finger and right hip. My right elbow was swollen up like a baseball (that's gone down now). My right shin got scraped up pretty well. I also bruised my left kneee and am having to limp around. I have a scrape on my right cheek and, saved the worst for last, I busted my left pinky and split it open to the point that I should've probably had a couple of stitches put in. I don't know how a simple fall can cause all that, but suffice to say concrete doesn't interact with the body well.

Btw, I wasn't riding my motorcyle. That's from passing out due to, apprently, my BGL (I'm a diabetic) going too low. At a 150 lbs, there's not a lot of padding to protect me. Suffice it to say, it's proably smart that I wear safety gear when I ride. My hip and knee and fingers hurt so bad right now, I can barely walk. I'm typing by hunting and pecking with my good fingers.

Daryl,
We just found out our 16 year old is diabetic too.
My sister is as well so I can sympathise with you.
Heck, I hunt and peck on every key stroke and I ain't hurt,
so don't feel to bad.;)

I'm sorry to hear your child has diabetes. If you ever any questions, feel free to hit me up. It's scary at first, but it's not a death sentence as long as you do what you're supposed to do. If you don't, the complications are bad news.

Sorry to hear about your fall, hope you get better soon...
Glad you weren't on the bike when you passed out that woulda been really bad. Be careful and watch you BGL.

Are you sure it was your BGL Daryl after all you do live pretty close to the highest point in Florida maybe it was the thin air? Glad you are not to badly hurt and the best part is the bike is okay:D
For the unedumicated the highest point in Florida is around 325'

I do get the occasional nose bleed up here in the highlands. ;)

I was going to say something mean, like wearing a crash helmet ... but I decided not to. :p

Go ahead and say it. Frankly, I wish I'd have had my safety gear on. Oddly enough, I'd just checked my BGL an hour earlier and it was fine.
