I took a fall last night.

That doesn't sound right, Daryl. Did you pass out after getting up quickly from a sitting or prone position? Could there be some blood pressure issues?

I'm glad to see that you'll be O.K., but you need to make sure that this was a diabetes related accident and not from another cause! Better to take a tumble from your own two feet than from your own two wheels!;)

Daryl: I am also diabetic (type II) - did you not feel yourself getting hypoglycemic? Do you know what your BGL was when you woke up?

I am curious as mine has dropped into the 70s before and anything under 90 I can tell - but I have never blacked out, just got 'weak and wobbly', so I am trying to learn what I can from your mishap and avoid one myself.

I hope you heal soon!

I've begun a diet and fitness program

and I find that my BGL can be as low as 80 when I return from the gym. I eat a good breakfast, well two eggs and two toast. A good lunch, what ever left overs are from the last dinner. On nights I work out, 4 days a week, I go to the gym at dinner time and skip the meal. I'm only 5'8" and started at 220 and now I'm at 195. My goal is to get to 165, more than what the charts say, but I have/had a muscular body (built like a hobbit, without the hairy toes).

Daryl, glad to hear you are okay and survived your fall. Being Diabetic as well, I sort of feel your pain but I'm only a type II. I just have to walk a lot and not eat as much as I used to, luckily I can eat anything I want...just smaller portions.

Glad you weren't on a bike when it happened. I can only imagine all the brokenhearted "wimmens" that are mourning your mishap.

By the way that "highest point" in Florida is between Quincy and Chattahoocthie, FL on Hwy 90 east of the Apalachola (?) river.

Dennis I think you need to check your blood sugar, the highest point in Florida is located at Britton Hill (close to Laurel Hill) Lakewood FL the elevation is 345'
Bad news when a bloody foreigner has to correct you:D
By the way with a morning woody I can pee higher than the highest point in Florida:p

You should have been wearing more than your signature Paul Stanley manties:) glad your okay for the most part and that you weren't riding when it hapend.

Scot, I'll have to take a ride with you and show you, maybe I'll take a ride out myself this week as I know you have to work (while I am at home enjoying some welcome time off). Unless some volcano popped up at this Britton Hill, I believe you are incorrect. I will take a picture if I make it out there this week...it's only about three hours away, would be a nice little ride.
