That little area on the right gauge that shows how many kilometers you have until you have to fill up again is driving me nuts. I've been obsessed with trying to see how high I can make the numbers go or how long I can make it stay above a certain number. I'll be cruising around after filling up and trying to see if I can make it go higher then 326km before fill up. Then of course you accelerate hard and now it says 280... hah!

I hope I get bored of this game soon because Im worrying more about fuel mileage then I am about ridin' it real fast!

Anyone else here managed to get that number to shoot up past 320?

I have seen 208 miles after a fill up and actually got 208 miles before my next fill up... that is slabbing it at a steady 75mph the whole way...

It's the starting and stopping that kills my mileage. I rode up to Niagra a couple weeks ago, I was astonished at the mileage I was getting on the 401, I was at 290km, with 75 still showing left, big difference on the highway, we weren't in a rush, so we were cruising from 100-115km/hr. mind you, it dipped considerably riding through GTA at 3:00pm on a Friday. At least now my wife is willing to endure 3 mins of discomfort on the steel bridge at thousand islands to ride through the states to get there, than 3 hours of putting up with GTA gridlock.

I love that bridge at thousand islands. It's almost worth the trip just to cross it. 200 miles is not a problem. I did just under 1,000 miles this weekend and got just better than 37mpg. That means 220 (354 kilometers) miles with about 1/3 gallon left.

Try cruising at 40-50 mph in high gear for 10-20 miles before filling up. It seems like it derives the number based on most recent mileage calculations. At least that's how mine seems to work. I've had it up well over 200 miles and then made it drop like a stone by jumping on the interstate and running at 80+ right after filling.

Made mine go backwards once. Left Cedar Breaks National Monument with it showing 48 miles to go. By the time I got to the bottom of the hill I had almost 78 miles to go.

LOL! Yeah thats what I'm talking about.. Im always playing this game of "how easy can I ride" by using little throttle and going downhill trying to see how high I can get that number up... I know its stupid but its fun, and this is the first bike I've had that had such cool features (ABS, Fuel to fillup) Im just enjoying it...

Just be careful when you get to about 50 miles left on the gauge...it can take take nearly all those miles away in an instant and leave you worrying where the next petrol station is

I learn the hard way.....no way are you pushing that thing to the garage!
