How to tell if I have the right cable

Apparently mine works...

After being convinced that my cable wouldn't work, I finally got the bike back after my minor accident (7 weeks) and plugged the bike into my MacBook Pro running Windows 8. Lo and behold, it connected. I was able to pull the map off the bike (xx222, I think), save it, click a million times to open the secondaries across the board, save it with new name, then send it back to the bike. I did notice some difference. Not so much in feel, but in the amount of time it takes me to hit 4000 revs in each gear.

If Jardine ever really ships my pipes, I'll add those 5 K&Ns that are sitting in my living room and start playing with the computer again.

I'm assuming that I shouldn't add the K&Ns prior to the new pipes, as I don't know of a tune for them and assume I'd be running rather lean if all I did was add the triples.

Any thoughts?

I think for the full effect you have to copy the fourth gear ignition tables into the 1st, 2nd and third tables. If I'm FOS, I'm sure someone will chime in :)

Marvin...I tore my bike apart (exhaust included) in anticipation of Jardine actually shipping my pipes. Installed the K&N's, cut the claw, installed PCV+AT, then found out Jardine was full of $hit. Still don't have my pipes but **** if I was gonna wait to ride. Riding now with a Hanso tune in the PCV and the auto tune corrected everything for the stock pipes. Hans assures me that the auto tune will correct itself again when and if I ever get the pipes I paid for in January.

:) no that is right but You should also add a bit of fuel say no more than 5% in the F Trim tables and then accept this will richen up a little as the secondaries act to richen as well as restricting air flow:)

it will adjust because when you put a freer flowing exhaust the wide band O2 sensor attached to the Auto Tune will detect that it is running lean and it will tell the PCV to add more fuel, this happens very quickly
Hans :)

Triumphs tunes are very lean as they are to comply with pollution standards I would add up to 5% fuel and as Fred said copy the 4th gear ignition table into the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears and rip out the secondaries as well as setting them open.
when you get your jardines give me a PM with E-mail address and I send a suitable tune and If you decide to really have peace of mind think about a PCV + AT, I love mine
