Yes,Travel Guy did a heat sensor test recently, SS ran much cooler on the outside.( meaning heat & essential pressure, is retained in the exhaust gas as it passes through, & ...your leg doesn't get as hot)

Its not polished, as I said in the initial post I machined the galvanising off it. This can be seen in the photo of the tube in the press. Interesting results from Travel Guy.
