I also had this problem on my '05

I used a wrench to loosen the bolt holding the pegs in place on the bar, scooted them down three inches or so, then used the same wrench to tighten the bolt back up. sorry, couldn't help myself....

if that doesn't work for you... I'm looking at a set from Kuryakyn called the Longhorn for my wife's harley..... they have a 3 and 1/4 inch arm between the clamp and the footpeg so you can adjust your footpeg reach in a 6 and a half inch circle..... I found them at J+P cycles

J+P's price for a set of " Longhorn Dually Pegs" from Kuryakyn is $149.99 listed in their 2008 Harley catalog.

These pegs are a little bigger than the Triumph, and adjust a little farther as well.

I have no idea what the cost for the Triumph pegs is though, they may be cheaper...???
