High Beam light coming on

I am having a problem with the high beam indicator light coming on by itself and other times when I switch the high beams on the indicator light stays on even after I switch the high beams off. Is this a known problem on the 2005 R3s? I just got this bike last week, so it is still very new to me. If it is a known problem does anyone know the fix.

sounds like a short in the switch box on the bars. i would take it apart and see if there is any crossing going on.

probably a simple wiring problem. Take switch apart & have a poke around inside.

Thanks for the replys. I'll just have to get into the wiring I guess and see what is going on. It is more of an annoyance than anything, so I may wait till winter to do anything about it. I have had the bike for a week now and I love the power, but I am having a hard time transitioning to the cruiser world still. I also have a ZX-12r that is currently not running.
