Over 50 years, more than a few times. Mostly on BMWs, but a bit on the R3T. I preferred the BMWs for mountains. Never did try it with only one gear though. Nice job.

I have a BMW as well and love it. But me on the Rocket in the mountainous twisties would leave me on the BMW in those same twisties way behind. Especially uphill twisties. Well now that I have six gears again, lol.

I'd love to know how much maintenance entailed keeping your R3 on the road so long? I'm currently turning my R3r Storm into a touring machine and it would be great to have some idea.
