My tender was indicating a bad cell so I used my tester and it confirmed bad cell and 9.8 volts. Pulled it out and tested again and showed 13 volts; what gives? Brought it to Batterries Plus to test and it showed perfect battery readings, 13 volts. Reinstalled same battery in the bike and all returned to normal readings including tender. Tune ECU showed no error codes. Two weeks left on my original warranty. I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer's tech.

This may be the cause for the bad cell light on my tender. I’ve been using the aux plug to tender the bike and when I wiggled the plug, the tender restarted. Tried again and same result. I’m thinking poor connection tricked the tender in reading a bad cell. I added a direct wire from the terminals which plugs directly to the tender wire. Hopefully, this will be the fix. Thanks!

I use the aux socket as well, and find the contacts on the DIN plug from the charger aren't the best - so I smear them with a touch of petroleum jelly every now and again, simple and easy - but it works !

The DIN plug I used is quite old and the contacts tarnished. Also loose fitting in the aux plug. Another instance is I returned battery tender to the vendor because it never showed full charge to the battery even though it should have. They returned the tender and said it was fine. All the while I was using the same DIN plug, which I am hoping is the culprit of my battery issues.
