Hello all....After trawling the net for hours, I thought I'd ask you guy's for some help. I need to get my hands on a copy of a 2006 Rocket microFiche, I've tried as many places as my limited internet knowledge allows, so your my last hope.
actually spud,
Not sure if there is one or not.
BUT,
there is an online copy of the service manual.
If you'll use the search here,
or maybe somebody has the link for it handy.
Good luck in the search.
if you'll tell us what you're interested in,
i'm sure one of us can look in our service manual and help ya out...
ride safe,

It's actually a case of part numbers friend. I'm about to do a oil and fliter change and I need ether the part numbers or the dimentions of the three crush washers needed to replace on the bike. I have read other discussions regarding this here on the forum, but being a bit of a novice on the servicing side of the Rocket, I need to be clear in my own mind as to what I'll need. I think that two of the crush washers are the same size (14mm) but the other I'm not sure of, hence the MicroFiche.
I haven't changed the crush washers in 6 years and 63,000 miles and they still don't leak. I wouldn't even bother unless they are just severely damaged for some reason.
you may need the o-ring for the oil tank drain. I changed mine and the last time it came out in two pieces....not sure how it was torn, but the dealer did the previous oil change.
You can re-use the crush washers as long as they aren't deformed. If a torque wrench was used they should be fine. I change mine as they are the same size as my Valkyrie and VTX and I bought a pack of 100 quite a few years ago for $30.
Welcome Spud to the forum!!!! Dont take this personally but microfiche is a thing of the past....I do realize that there are still units in operation and some of the material will never leave microfiche territory......but in todays technologically savy world.......electronic documents are all the rage!
+1 on the crush washers and oring. Just get yourself 6 quarts of synthetic oil (properly rated) and a filter....remove the 3 plugs drain replace plugs fill with oil and voila! Oil change complete!! Good luck and feel free to ask more questions...you stumbled upon the single greatest R3 resource on the net!!!!
