Help ? PC5 +Auto in OHIO

can anyone actually confirm that the PCV with Auto Tune does in fact actually work with all the features on the pre09 models  every time I have looked on a website they always steer you to a PCIII if you put in a 08 or before model year.
I would hate to see Dennis or any body else get caught out!!

Yes, it does. I have a black on silver '05 r3 standard and the PCV w/autotune and it works great. Just be careful because I have no indications that it can mitigate the sluggish feeling all of the red r3 captains have when they twist that infamous grip on the right.:eek::eek:

so you were able to get it to work with just simply putting it on or does it still require dyno run to set up.

Oh I do feel for you and your poor poor bike it must have identity crisis being black and silver..... it must be the silver that gives it the speed and here I was thinking you rode one of those poor optical illusion bikes that think that black is a colour, the black is only good for high lighting the Real colour as In you case Silver;)

PCV fits 08 and newer. PCIII fits 07 and older. (As per Dynojet) Both units, PCV/A/T, worke just fine on my 011 and no Dyno tune is needed with the A/T. Unless you are building a performance bike and want to know where it makes power. The Auto Tune changes the PCV map to where the A/F target was pre set. It can't tell you anything about HP. If you want to know at what A/F mixture your bike makes the most HP and set the A/F targets to that number,,,,you need to get on a Dyno.

So the PCV fits your 05? Strange, Dynojet states it will only fit 08 and up.

then does it or not work its magic on earlier model ? I have an 06 and think PCV /autotune would be perfect but will it work ..
anybody has the definite proof that it does or not

Absolutely positively the PCV with auto tune works on the all rocket3 model years including the earlier than '08 models. The website for whatever reason is not updated.
After installing PCV with autotune the 'only' reason to do a dyno is to have printed verification that the autotune is functioning correctly and in no way shape or form is any tuning of any sort necessary on the dyno. The dyno you would be doing would be a base run to simply get documented #'s. The autotune serves the same function as the dyno tuner but does it better because it changes on the fly to adjust to elevation, atmospheric conditions and any other misc mods you do to the bike. To demonstrate with an analogy - the dyno tune is a Polaroid picture and the autotune is a high resolution video. That runs for the life of the bike. I could care less about printed hp and tq as long as I can be reassured that I am getting the max avail for the setup I am running at any given point in time.

ThankYou ewswartze... what is your first name?

I would be contacting dynojet and asking the question if i had an earlier model just to be sure before shelling out the clams
I was under the impression it was 09 and up but if it works with earlier models thats great for everyone
