A local fellow Roadster owner sent me this message hoping a new cable I have for sale will help fix his problem, need some help.

I used Tune ecu for the first time today.I was able to get a conection first time, looked at the functions all seemed well I down loaded my bikes Map thankfully. I than tried to upload a map and the concetion failed.
I think the program wipes the ecu prior to re installing the new map. I think my cable failed between the wiping and the re maping.
I currently can't get a conection between Labtop and bike. The bike won't Initiate, the clocks go round but the fuel pump wont prime, the nutral light is out and the started motor will not turn over
Not feeling great currently. I am hopping its just the cable and I will be able to reload my origional map with a good cable.
Any help would be appreciated, the fueses are all good and in place.
I have tried to recontact several times but to no avail.

Sounds like a faulty cable or connector pin assy to me.. can you borrow a cable from someone nearby and then try the TuneECU recovery mode ? hope this helps..

Did he remove the headlight/starter fuse prior to the upload? A full battery charge is essential to maintain the connection.

All done, the bike is running quite well, after trying a few times To get the recovery program to run it finally worked and I was able to down load the standard tune and reset the TPS and the motor is running better then new.

I think his cable is faulty in some way because as soon as we tried his lap top and cable the whole system shut down and we had to connect my lap top and cable to do the recover process and maps etc.

All is well now, thanks for the input.
