Welcome Shane ! I have an 05'. Mine has had some issues but is way more the exception than the rule. With such low miles it would be hard to tell if the one your looking at has the second gear problem, as it typically didn't show up until around 10-15 thousand miles. It obviously wouldn't be repaired under warranty now. Unless your handy with a wrench, you might be better off going with a newer one. I'm sorry to hear about your wife. Never give up hope.
