there's loads of grit & ice on the roads here at the mo .
i know my hayabusa is ok if it gets covered in salt as long as it gets washed at the end of the day but i don't know if the triumph will be ok if it gets covered in salt !
does anyone on here know if it can handle salt if its washed at the end of the day ?

Welcome, Stuart, from Texas, USA. What is this salt on the road you speak of?? 63F here at the moment (6:45am local time) and headed for a high temp of 78F. Planning a lovely ride today. Sorry to rub it in...

We trudge on (warmly)

the sort the council put on the roads that destroys bikes if there not made to the highest standard . its prob about 2 or 3c here frost everywhere !

How dare you buy a new bike when your money could have been better used helping bail out the Gers:mad:
Welcome Stuart and as for the salt question my old BL (British Leyland) cars would last about one year in the salt then you were stopping Fred Flintstone style.
My dad was from Kilsyth my mum from Condorratt and I was the first fifer in my family born and raised in Glenrothes Fife had to leave in 1985 or go to Barlinnie for killing pig face Thatcher.

your not missing much here , its been the wettest year for a 100 yrs
i don't bother with football much , true the 10k i used to buy my bike could of gone towards paying 1 players wages for an hour lol

Living on the coast is bad enough the salt air means a regular tub is necessary or the chrome shows signs of rust So I deffinatly would not take out on salt unless you are going to give it a very good scrub in the tub :)

The salt will kill your bike un less you have lots o time to really clean it. Use AFC50 to protect it.But I don't think you'll be out much in the snow. Al. Did ye get the bike from MCS?

i think your right about the salt , i'll just use my busa till spring .
i looked at some bikes at mcs , i ended up driving down to wolverhampton to buy it .
7 bloody hrs to get there doing 50mph towing a trailer , it was worth the drive as the bike is near mint & it's only done 1400 mls .
i can't wait to get a proper shot of the rocket up some country roads once the weather gets better .
£10 doesn't last long in the rocket lol .

Hi stuart, Not many miles getting done now in these parts. Mine is off the road now till the salts gone. I'm trying to get my old 1100 shadow running in the meantime. roll on the spring.
