Well there you go!!!
After looking at the chart, I need to DOUBLE the amount of beads. I put 1.5 oz in rear; s/be 3 oz. I used 1 oz. in front; s/be 2 oz.

Thanks, 1059!!

What's wrong with good old fashioned wheel weights? Why do we try to recreate the wheel over and over? I know,,,,progress,,,,,.

Nothing wrong with weights, except I don't have a balancer, don't have the weights, and don't care for the look of weights glued to rims.

On the other hand, I have plenty of Dyna Beads, can install them myself, and they are hidden inside the wheel.

Now, later, if I find that Dyna Beads are not effective as a balancing option, I promise I'll go back to the lead weights.

Not re-inventing the wheel...just modifing it slightly

I would be interested to know how you get on with this system.

I'm finding it difficult to understand quite how it works, especially with a tyre as wide as that fitted on the rear of a Rocket. Centrifugal forces are going to be quite high at speed and the beads must surely migrate to the centre of a radiused tyre profile. When this happens how are the off center discrepancies balanced in the way that they would with weights balanced dynamically?

I didn't realize you had mismatched tires. Sorry, no experience with that type of setup. Good luck.

This going to sound like I'm flaming the car tire again...... but I didn't have head shake or tank slap going on UNTIL I installed a car tire on the rear. What would cause this with the CT if it is the CT?????

Oh yeah I almost forgot.... I noticed my front Metz is getting cupped so I think that is what is causing it. I wished I had felt my front tire BEFORE I installed the CT.

Thanks for the info on the Dyna beads.... I would have probably not used enough myself.

I had a similar problem when I went darkside. I never got it sorted but the problem went away when I installed a pair of Avon Cobras. I did ride briefly with the Avon on the front and the DS rear and the bike felt much better than with the worn Metz though I didn't try it over 100mph. I'm now completely confident again at any speed.
