You can unbolt the sidestand assembly from the frame , with the stand in the up position and the mounting bracket held in a vice , put a cable tie around one end of the spring and use it to pull the spring off the lug . Whilst your at it , grind a bit off the front of the stand , the bit that acts as the stop on the mounting bracket . One problem with the Busa is that the stand stops down with not quite enough angle forward to stop it folding back if the bike rolls forward slightly . With a bit of careful grinding the stand stops down with more of a forward angle making it much more stable . It's a Suzuki thing !Checked the fork. It's not stretched. It seems to be the play in the bolt or bolt hole.
Do you know if the mounting bracket has a bush in it?
The bike is only a year old so it shouldn't be worn. The trouble is I have only just noticed it. It may have been like it since new.
I would take it apart but the springs look hard work to refit.
Never heard of a stand breaking , but heard of a lot of gen2 busas rolling off their stands !
