Is the blue light found on just the touring model?

It's the high beam light that comes on with LoBeams when the bike gets very hot.

Mine has never done that. Have rode in some very hot weather and only indication of bike getting hot is the fan will go on and off periodically. That and in slow traffic feels like am sitting over a furnace.

Only when hot. Getting stuck in slow traffic and it's hot, the bike will throw a Hi-Beam light. Goes off when you get going after a mile or two.

Like I said, pretty hard to believe that's the only time your fan comes on.

Ill check tomorrow if it's a blue light when the fan comes on. I think it is something else. I hear the fan come on and off all the time without a blue light popping up.

A check engine light can always be fixed with a small piece of black tape applied over the offending warning light.
