I would have a dealership run the VIN number and if it has not had it's first service get it done. Check the date code on the tires. Enjoy.

The only issue with a 2 year old bike with only 500kms on it is warranty. If a bike is going to have any problems, it usually happens in those first few thousand kilometers. That wouldn't stop me from purchasing the ride though since I'm a mechance. Not sure if that is an issue with you.

Personally I'd take the chance and go for it. The Xs are vary rare with only 500 made.
