Gore-tex Rain Suits

I only have experience with Frog Toggs and a Hefty Garbage bags with holes cut out for my arms and head so I can't comment on the Triumph gear. The Toggs worked quite well at MV this past year ya know the day it rained, oh wait that was everyday. :lol: They did keep me dry relatively dry and I was glad that I had them. The jacket leaks just enough to keep a steady breeze blowing on you so you don't roast while wearing them, could be a designed in feature I guess. But they do melt when exposed to hot Jardines and I would imagine other exhaust off brands as well. At only roughly $60 for the set they are not a bad buy and I would get them again if/when needed. Personally I like the 2 piece design, that way if I don't want to wear the pants or Jacket for some reason I don't have to.

Take my post with a grain of salt, I was happy with the garbage bag up until I bought the Toggs. :shock:

Gotcha, Cadfather, will take your points under advisement! I don't even know what my current suit is, workes great for the rain, but it gets hot as hell...

Ok, thanks for the tips, sounds like most of you got similar suits to mine...keeps the rain out, hot as hell in the summer, nice addition in cold weather i.e. doesn't breathe. I think the Gore-tex is expensive, but it's supposed to breathe well...anyway, never tried it, I'll see what it costs or go w/ the Triumph or Toggs.

While not a solution to your inquiry, but not a bad addition. I agree that on many occasions, these would have really fit the bill. Price ain't bad either if you have the AMA membership.

Thanks, bud. I actually have heavy leather chaps, not sure if they're the same as the rain chaps, and they're awesome in cold weather. never thought of trying them in the rain, they might just get wet though.

Thanks, dude. Interesting stuff. Most is not made specifically for riding, right? But certainly could work. Really low prices and I see some Gore-tex ones too. Thanks.

I'm glad to share. When you have time to "shop" or look through all the product they have, I think you'll enjoy having them in your list of favorites.
I just realize you've got snow, a white Christmas. Maybe to much white Christmas. Stay warm, stay home from work (guess I assume you work,...I work so everyone works, right?).. a good time to detail the Rocket.

Ha, unfortunately even though my work is officially closed, I'm here...should be glad to have a job though. My baby's freezing her butt off in the carport, at least she's covered and hooked to a b tender. Yeah, that site looks very cool, low prices, and lots of variety. Thanks.
