Good God I’m Already Worn Out
My old Honda CBR1100XX used to spit rear Pilot Road 2s out every 5,000 kms. I might get 7,000 to 8,000kms out of a front.

Is normal on bikes. The Rocket's not that bad.
 
Bridgestone exedra Max 55 profile....last one on my 14 Roadster...10000kms.
This one on my 16 Roadster is close to 7000kms and plenty left.
 
Ohhhh...its the south island roads for sure!!..nah!... its gotta be said my aggression has waned considerably since my 20's.....probably cos ive lost two cousins in motorcycle accidents and have had a few spills that easily could have ended it for me had i fallen the other way..80 mph over the bank in the dark waiting for "THAT BIG BLOODY TREE" to arrive in my face...i saw my best buddy turn over two meters in front of me going too fast into a corner.....i stopped breathing for a while then!!!...these days im more calm in my riding....respectful i guess...to the road but also to the memory of my cuzzies...sooooooo i now get pretty good mileage from my tyres...its all good.
 
I had metz that I did 8000 ks and was on the Rocket when I got it still had alot left on it. before putting a Avon cobra 2500 ks ago.

Put a flat spot on that one tonight coming up to lights at Chanys at 140 and not putting the brakes on soon enough still managed to stop in time.
@Tal have a look in the right lane for the 35 foot skid mark in the morning. It's starts about the end of the carpark by the big fanfare thing.

Oh yeah you tamed down ur riding and what about that cruise past those AC cobras a few weeks back
 
If you think that's bad, my R1 used to need a new back tyre every 1800-2000 miles and a new front every 3000
 
Yep 240/55 max and a 140 cobra up front. You can run a cobra on the back there not bad certainly better then the metz. There are only a few differences between the max and the cobras. If money is no object well cobra rear. If you want you cam buy the max and send me the difference between them. That way you can feel like you got a cobra rear
 
+1 more for Bridgestone exeedra max on the rear, Avon cobra or Mich commander II on front. And yes, go down one size to a 140 in front. You won’t believe the difference!
