Thank you to everyone for your help I'll keep trying to get the stock parts and a special thanks to tdragger that may get me thru until I can find them !

Much like tdragger, I prefer the positive shifts of a direct shifter, mine is from a Honda 110, about $12 at most Honda dealers:

Lonnie

The R3T footplates are quite a lot further back than that. The attachment point for the shift lever in the engine would be almost exactly above the front edge of the footplate, so it would look like ass and it would also be uncomfortable in use to have a straight shifter without a linkage on an R3T.

Good morning all, once again I would like to thank every one for responding to my question and all the help you gave! I went ahead and ordered the parts from world of triumph. com the order was place last Friday and the parts arrived on Wednesday only five days later. I'm still waiting to get the same order from my local dealer and they have no idea when it will come in. So I will be canceling that order. I hope everyone has a great day and an even better weekend. Same happened to my touring and a friends. Had new tops welded on and tapped so the pivot link would screw in by local shop that delt with aluminium with a little elbow work can not know and now you have thicker thread and stronger part.

Good morning all, this is the final post. I installed the new parts this morning so Bella is good to go on her next adventure ! The funny thing is I'm still waiting on the parts from my local dealer they hope to have them in around august 8 when it only took 5 days to get them from England ! I would like to thank everyone for their help and suggestions, when the other parts come in I think I'll just keep them in my saddle bags just in case. Have a great weekend and as always Ride Safe but Ride Often, Dragonrider
