Took the rocket to the shop to have the fuel filter replaced and now fuel light stays on, took it back , they took the tankl back off and messed with it some more, light still on, left it there, will see what they find but not too confident since last time they left the brake calipers loose and @warp9.9 had to Mcgiver it on the side of the road, any ideas of what they did wrong? they said they did not bend the fuel pick up at all.
Thanks!!

@mexican I am not sure if your bike ever had the update kit installed but they did add a new lever sender unit P/N T1241089 . The float rod looks to be different and I am not sure if the electronics were changed or not. The older style was a bugger to get out of the tank without bending it. You just had to hold your face straight when pulling and installing. If they did bend it I understand why as I went thru it also. It can be fixed (bent) right but is frustrating.

Hell of a place to put the fuel filter anyway in my opinion. Why would they make you have to go through that much grief and expense to change a lousy filter. Can I ask how many miles on your bike? Were you just having it replaced from a regular maintenance standpoint? I wonder how many rocket owners have taken the time to replace theirs and at what point? Good luck and hope they get it fixed.

I have 42.000 mikes and did it just for precaution, that is one of the reasons i didnt try it myself, brmetter them than me, agree on the filter placement subject:)

No update kit on this one, everything original:)

Just curious did you take it to brookside? A guy on different forum had the same problem. He took it to OK city and they found out that the rod had been bent.

Either the rod has been bent, or the float is stuck all the way down, or the float has sprung a leak and sunk, or a wiring/plug problem at the tank.

they probably would not take advice from me but what i would do is plug the assembly back in and check it with the triumph scanner or( tunecu ?) to make sure it works before putting it in the tank. i think that i could read the voltage readings on tunecu.
also u could tie a string loop around the float and check the level while it is inside the tank before u bolt it down and fill it up then u just cut the loop and remove the string.
i probably do stuff like this because i am lazy and don't want to do any more work than i have to.
