Came across this on a Garmin site, obviously I can't verify it's accuracy but I thought to inform R3 owners across the water...

DO NOT Buy from Harbor Audio,LLC
« on: December 04, 2009, 07:22:34 PM »Reply Just wanted to post a warning to fellow GPS users.
Here's my story, I figured i'd put it here until there's a better place to put it.

5/28/09
I pre-ordered a Garmin Zumo 660 GPS from Harbor Audio via their website, and pay via Pay-Pal $643.44, shipping method was flat rate. Good price, but it came with a wait due to it being a pre-order.
An order information page was created on their website, it was updated to show: Pre-Ordered Item Ships soon
7/5/09
Order status on the order information page was updated to show the item would be shipping in 7-10 business days.
Approximately 7/20/09
I placed a call to see if the item had shipped, the call was answered, I was bluntly told to look on the order information page for updated status information.
7/21/09
Order status on the order information page was updated to show the item would be shipping in 2-5 business days.
7/30/09
Order status on the order information page was updated to show the item was shipped.
Approximately 8/14/09
I called to inquire about the shipment; a phone company service message stated they were no longer accepting calls at this time.
8/20/09
An email was sent to request information and inform them I will file complaints if necessary.
8/26/06
I called to inquire about the item and the phone company message stated the number was disconnected.

So ive tried calling, then by emailing, I tried to beg for my GPS, then for a refund, later I sent another email demanding my money or I would pursue litigation.
PayPal wouldn't help since it was over 45 days.
The BBB said they couldn't help since they don't deal with companies that are out of business.
Currently I have filed a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Mean while their website is still up and running, it appears to be updated with new products, and probably still ripping people off. If anybody has any suggestions please post them up, just trying to help other's that may be in my position.

File a chargeback with your credit card company.

I had paypal do that to me once on a $350.00 item. I got strung along until the period for dispute was over, then nobody would help.

Did a charge back with Amex no problem.
