I have a question by proxy...my little bro is running a stock 2005 gixxer 600 track bike. The fuel pump has tapped out and he is researching replacement options.

If the stock unit pumps 120 lpm at a given psi and he gets a new unit that can push 240 lpm at the SAME psi would there likely be any other mods needed or any negative affects on the rest of the fuel system?
(Besides only having a $20 price difference he is wanting to 'future proof' the pump in case he decides to increase injector size as part of a possible engine rebuild)

Also, answers using single syllable words please, i have a hangover.

Forced induction was on the radar which is why the larger pump came into consideration - he's decided to go oem size now. He runs a 1000 as well and will likely work that one over in the near future

Ahh, but those 600s are light. I had a Gixxer 600 and a tt600, loved them, had a cbr1000rr and hated it.

The 1000 is a very quick bike as it is 180 rwhp and its been on diet at 180kg ... romps away from the rocket from a stand still
