Fuel level sensor

Fred you should be ashamed look at the state of the fuel tank and the oil tank do you never clean them the hose going to cyl#2 is that from the breather at the rear of the engine?

Ya, I've been falling behind on my under tank cleaning
Yes the hose goes to the back of the engine.

What may I ask is the purpose of that hose from the cylinder to the breather at the back of the motor
Hi ya Beb's ! When I installed my K&N air filters many years ago I put the little K&N filter on the breather at the back of the engine. When I had to repair my output shaft bearing I was appalled at the amount of oil and dirt had collected on the back of the engine. I then ran a hose up and into one of my air filters. Engine stays clean, hasn't caused any problems.

Sock? I'm from the west, where mem are men and sheep are scared.
When I was a young man, going to college and working in a factory I saw this old guy daily. He dressed in overalls, with boots. One day he had on a pair of knee high rubber boots. A couple of men laughed and asked the old guy if his sheep were “restless”. The old farmer got real pissed off, and shook his fist at the men laughing. A guy said, “ heck, you don’t need your fist. Use your high boots.” It took me a while to figure out the joke.
