EXHAUST SYSTEM

The decibel level will be assessed at the discretion of the tester, other checks are:

The exhaust mountings must be secure and not fouling any part of the rear suspension
The exhaust must not be holed and free from leaks from both joints and box(es)
Replacements units, other than bikes registered before 01.Jan.1985, must have the BSAU 193 stamp
t says about exhausts

If it is a picky station they probably will fail it if you have the triumph off road pipes fitted , the stamp which says for off road use only might catch his eye .

My light comes on at about the 100 miles , but have ran the tank as far as 170 miles , always use the trip , and ignore the light 8)

Thanks Sully, is £250 about right for a bypass? Looks a bit steep to me.
Bargain
Mine was more than that if I remember rightly

exhaust change

Thanks for the info, back to the exhaust system, where in the uk can I get an system as the one fiotted looks a bit naff and would like a quiet 3 into 2 (got to think of the neighbours) and the local plod). :?: :?:

Cant think of any quiet aftermarket system , only 2 pipes with one on each side that I can think of are the Jardines system , and I believe they definetly do NOT fall in the quiet end of the scale .

after reading your post about your experience with your pipes re-install, I'm afraid you'd risk giving her a lobotomy and leaving her in a coma

My thoughts exactly.

Combine my spannering skills with a laptop & you've got a recipe for total chaos.

Heard lots of positive comments about the stainless steel cat bypass from the e-bay link I posted, on the UK owners site. Everyone who has bought one rates it highly from this seller.
