Front tyre for my 07 rocket

Good opinions, but there is no steel belted max radial for the front. But a flat tire is better then the metzler:) anyway if your looking for OEM size on the front there is not much to work with. The new Avon Cobra Chromes are your best shot. If you are looking to quicken the steering then you can drop down to a 140/75/17 then besides the Avon, you can get a Bridgestone battle criuse for the front or the michilen commander II. If you have the 16 inch rear your best bet is a exedra max 240/55/16. Oh and my recommendations are also based on the OEM V speed rating the bike is soposed to have or higher. Now some on here run the 150/70/17 Michelin Road 5 rear on the front. I was lucky enough to be able to test ride Ricks bike with one on it. And was amazed at the grip in the curves. I would lay her down until the feelers just barely touched and give her everthing she had and it would just stick and track better then any front tire I've tried yet! Now if all you ride is superslabs then for comfort I'd stick with the OEM front size. Hope this helps.

Avon Cobra or Cobra Chrome. Standard size is 150/80VR-17. Very good tire for improved handling and longer tire life. If you want to go for a little better handling, get the 140/75VR-17. I have had both and I'm staying with the 140/75VR-17. Be sure to get the V rated tire not the H rated tire.

That's what I'm running now. I think @1olbull may have started that suggestion (?) Anyway, it's a great tire with super deep tread that also gives it extra life. You'll want to run it with reversed orientation.
Exedra Max on the rear. Together this changes the rake for the better, going from a cruiser feel to something a little more aggressive in the corners.

Yes maybe by the end of the year I will have the battle criuse worn down so I can try one :)
