Sorry for the diversion onto rear tyres in this front tyre thread but.....
I'd maybe try a car tyre IF there wasn't the option of the Bridgestone. The Avon was overall a better proposition than the Metz but not "great" because it was skittish in the wet and popped like a balloon if it got punctured. So far the Bridgestone is everything I wanted from a rear tyre so I'm sticking with it.
If the only thing you have against it, Mitch, is the profile, you should give it a go because your bike, more than most (with its extra power) will benefit from the taller gearing plus you get the ride, handling and longevity benefits. It's also better looking than either Metz or Avon, IMO. It's the front (701) that's not as pretty as the others but a very efficient tread pattern all the same.
