Fitting new TPS

Dave does she still surge after the bike is warmed up? Also if the bike is warmed up and you shut her down a restart her does she still raise the rpm ,settle back down and then start surging again?

Cold it does it, hot not so much surging. While riding pulling the clutch it raises rpm but does not surge.

Was running Hanso tune, only thing that changed was I got my kn filter replacements and got rid of epa crap. Hanso changed it up for me, also trying a Speedy tune, similar results. I loaded stock 20776 tor tune and it is running fine down low. Seems to be getting fuel run off when shutting the throttle down, like it's to rich just above idle. Smells it too...

Prett simple the dumb c_nt was turning onto the road I was on and instead of watching where she was going she was turned around trying to stick a pacifier in her 5 month old babies mouth. she was in a minie van so you can imagine how far she was turned around tending to her baby in the back seat instead of watching the road. she was completly in my lane so I opted to try to avoid a head on collision only the road was a wee bit wet and there was not much room between her and the curb. I put her down and got to lay there until athree guys picked the bike up off me because I was pinned up against the curb. Blunt force trauma to right side and chest and a broken right foot. Now its time for some more Vicodin.
I guess soem people don't pay much attention to motorcycles or the darn road they are driving on.

hate to say it but here goes, **** you are an accident looking for a place to happen.know its not youre fault but it does take a little longer to heal as we get older,so glad its not any worse ,sounds like it could've been,take care

Hi Warp,

Firstly, I hope you recover soon and I hope the cops get the silly ***** for dangerous driving. That kind of stuff really pisses me off.

Second, thanks for your corrections. Yes, it was a schoolboy mistake about the primary and secondary TPS being on the same shaft, - my brain wasn't engaged. I did check to see why I couldn't get the correct gap between 'paddle' and roller bearing / lever shaft, but everything checks out OK and I get the same result with the new stepper motor. Perhaps a mounting hole somewhere was drilled slightly off.

Anyhow, get well quickly, and know that your input on this site is invaluable.
