I Know the Rocket has 120 degree crank. Great Pot 1 fire's the crank has another 720 degrees before pot 1 fires again, so whats the firing order. I know the GP MV's of the middle too late sixtees offset one piston for even power flow. So what does our bloved Rocket actually do?

Mike

P.S. Two plugs, mmm, I love long bangs

In-line 3cil 4t is by nature a balanced engine
Combustion every 240°
You can hear this when ideling, very equal-timed sound (not patato, patato)
fireing order is always 123 or 321 in 3 cyl engine

I got it

So Bang one at 0, bang 2 at 240, bang 3 at 480, and back to one at 720.
meanwhile 3 exhausts at 120, one at 360, and two at 600.
Now what about the two plugs is there any long bang on the go here or are they fired together for just a clean burn. I am just seeing if we may in the future see some exotic tunes coming from some of our more adventurous Captains such as Miami and Toystore.

Thanks for the help so far.

Mike

Exhaust valves open approx 180° after combustion start so in your example 1)180 2)420 3)660

For your info its the opening of the exaustvalve that gives the poef noise in the exaustmufflers not the combustion itself.

I think the 2sparkplugs give a fast, equal, complete burn as is.
Adding a 3th will not be necesery or usefull in a exotic 800hp tune. lol

Kind regards

Vic
