I had just changed my front tire and cleaned the calipers and pistons before heading out to see my daughter in Richmond, VA. Not too far from home the engine light came on, along with the traction control icon- never seen that one before. I discovered that the ABS wire had been severed- no doubt due to something I wasn't paying attention to when doing that maintenance. I imagine it snagged on something while I was making a turn and just snapped.

Anyway, once in Richmond I got some lamp cord from a hardware store and used about 4" to bridge the gap (just twisted wires together and covered them with electrical tape). That worked to get the ABS back online and then safely home in a constant rain.

So, now that I'm back home I'm going to wire it up correctly, but would appreciate if someone could send a quick photo showing how that cable is routed. I know it attaches to the left brake line, but would like to see where it goes from there. Many thanks....
