Owl,
The base idle screw is at the front of the throttle bodies with a round wheel on the front of the rod. It has a stop and a set screw against it that can be adjusted.
I had your exact problem with my bike. 6 weeks of farting around between my mechanic and Triumph and they FINALLY changed the TPS. That fixed it. $90 part here in the states.
No - get it from wherever I am at the time - supermarket, major outlet, UK, France, wherever.
I will wait & see what happens with the bike over the next 2 weeks - will be going up to Cleveland (wherever that is) at the weekend on the UK Northern Rocket Run. See how the old girl performs in the Northern wastelands of this fair country.
Might see ya in the boro ya soft southern git.
Where are the northerners meeting up - I canna access that bit of the uk site any more. Would be good to say hello if I can.
Have fun in Middlesbrough Tom, but don't take any seafood back with you
Is Cleveland near Middlesbrough then? They said on the UK site it was Teeside. This is getting confusing. I'll have to resort to looking it up in a map. Not even sure what coast we're talking about.
Geography for up North is not my strong point.
Trumps - I'll send details from the UK owners site in a pm - be good to meet up.

Ok stick with this Owl.......
I was born in Middlesbrough, North Riding of Yorkshire in 1961.
By 1968 I lived in Middlesbrough, County Borough of Teesside.
By 1974 I was in Middlesbrough, Cleveland
All of the above and I never moved house!
In 1996 Cleveland County disappeared and we now have no County, the area refers to itself as "Tees Valley" although all the road signs refer to "Teesside" Still.
Confused - you will be mate. :?
