Engine wanted for replacement

Hi guys

Par (Nussekudden) just broke the crankshaft (!!??!!) on his R3 with turbo

So now he's looking for an replacement engine

Anyone out there who knows where to find one?

Insurance companies? Ebay? Others?

There is one at Baxter's Cycle in Marne, Iowa that's in a '06 Classic (black engine). The bike has front end damage but the engine looked fine.

There a 2 engines on Ebay as we speak.

I've welded my crankshaft at the flange as a precaution against this type of breakage. All racing R3s (300+ ft-lbs torque) should address this, as it's the next weak point after the clutch basket.

When Jay wrecked his thats where it went too.
Fortunatly is was only about 5 miles from the house so we could go get his accessories off of it....
