Engine quits at 65

i seem to recollect that the early rockets had a weak key on the crank that held the timing gear if that broke the cams would not be turning.
also my best guess is because the engine is low compression the valves might not hit the pistons. i guess it would depend on valve lift.

I would not crank the engine .If the chain or tensioner is at fault then all the valves would be closed unless they are bent open .If so the gas can not escape from the cylinder very well if at all, this would put load on the rod bearings and main bearings i would think ,and would not make cranking easier .

Thought I'd throw in that the early Rockets had a ignition switch recall. Mine would die at interstate speeds. They replaced the switch and connector with a different model.
