Planning to hard-wire a GPS, radar detector & a phone charger into my R3 Classic, each with an in-line fuse & quick detach BNC connectors. Any suggestions as to where best to tap into the electrical system? Also, would like to tap all 3 into the same location if possible. There is a zero chance that all 3 items will be used at the same time but a very good chance that 2 of the 3 will run simultaniously. Here are the radar detector requirements:
11.0-16.0 Volts DC negative ground
225 mA typical standby, 425 mA maximum
alarm condition

Thanks,
Eric

here is how i run my setup. run an EB 3 or 8 for the gps & radar detector. tie the key hot from the aux light connector. look at the mix-it2!! works great!!

for the phone charger, use the aux Power connector on the left.

I used a in-line fuse from the battery to my switch that I mounted under the seat it is a pushbutton type you cannot see it mounts flat against frame with to zip wraps, I just reached under the seat and turn it on or off keeps people from playing with my stereo I have J&M powered speakers with XM radio and GPS I put a double cigarette lighter plug in on the top of my triple tree behind the windshield that way the XM weather gets a signal since the antenna is in the plug in but it is all wired to the one pushbutton switch I brought all of my wires up under the tank tied off to the frame.
