Eklipse power outlet

I recently bought a Eklipse power outlet for my R3R. It has both the USB and cigarette lighter type plug on it. I have it mounted on my left upper handlebar area but the cord seems a bit short. I has the battery tender type plug. What's the best way to route this back to the battery area? Also, anyone have any input on the Eklipse power outlets?

I also use the eclipse power source. I wired mine under the gas tank using the flex wire shielding. I can't remember the proper name for the cover. All auto parts stores carry it. Cheap and has a high melting temp. The battery tender ends work if you plug into that source. I wired mine directly to my battery with a fuse link. Lots of use over the last 2 years with no issues. Good purchase

Placed mine (with two usb ports) under the seat at the old air filter box.
Have the lighter plug below seat left side where the powerlet goes.
The GPS on my bars is clutter enough for me.
