Eklipse power outlet

I recently bought a Eklipse power outlet for my R3R. It has both the USB and cigarette lighter type plug on it. I have it mounted on my left upper handlebar area but the cord seems a bit short. I has the battery tender type plug. What's the best way to route this back to the battery area? Also, anyone have any input on the Eklipse power outlets?

I also use the eclipse power source. I wired mine under the gas tank using the flex wire shielding. I can't remember the proper name for the cover. All auto parts stores carry it. Cheap and has a high melting temp. The battery tender ends work if you plug into that source. I wired mine directly to my battery with a fuse link. Lots of use over the last 2 years with no issues.
