any thoughts on where the relay would be on a stock 2012 r3r, if it was installed as a standard after the 2010 'fix'... would rather not pull too many things apart looking for it...

The triumph recall was put under the right side cover and from memory tapped into the starter relay light output wire but I imagine that if they made it a std fit men't in the 13 model it would be neatly tucked away one would hope
I personally reckon the best option would be to get some of them Speaker LED Headlights and not have to worry about the power load, I have already converted every other light globe to LED on the bike, in this day an age all modern motor vehicles should be made to have LED lighting they offer longer life, are more robust and use less energy
for those of you who have done this for the single bulb R3T, what all exactly did you purchase and were the instructions understandable. I am one of these guys who almost always completes my projects but it doesn't come natural. In other words I am SLOW lol except when I ride. I went to the sight and saw lots of options and prefer not to wade through it all make mistakes and do all over again. If anyone can make this easy for me I would be forever grateful

I used the H$ single headlight relay kit with the fairing option (16" leads on relays) and direct to battery power leads with fuse holder. Model No. H4RK. It has the the H4 plugs so you just unplug headlight, plug in EB kit, than connect the battery. I go the long relay leads so relays are unde tank not in headlight shell.

I installed the Eager Beaver relay. Just sent him an email telling him what I had and asked what I needed. He sent it. Simple plug and play and hook to battery. Made the light brighter. Simple system. Actually thinking about ordering a kit from him for my Motorhome since the stock low beams are wired way, way wrong.
