After 12,500 miles on the Avon it was time for a replacement. I could have put on another Avon but I installed the Dunlop Elite 3 Touring instead. It was only about $20 cheaper but it's a little higher rated especially in the wet traction area. It's only H rated so I'll have to remember to keep my speed below 131, that shouldn't be a big problem since the big clearview windshield starts to shake at 125 indicated. LOL
The dunlop is wider than both Avon and Metzler, the sides of the tire was rubbing on the back of the fender. The fender was easy enough to spread to get the clearance I needed but keep it in mine for anyone else that might try this tire.
I can't remember the bike ever handling this well. It may be that I was used to the worn out Avon. But it seems to me the dunlop handles better than I remember the Avon handling.
