Drive shaft spline lube

Thanks. I cannot make out if the Liqui moly LM48 is the high moly content paste or the same stuff you get in the tins you can buy in the motor stores here in UK which is only 3% Moly MoS2
The Loctite 8012 is 65% MoS2. The LM48 stuff is tungsten-based with no molybdenum.

IRR 3 is correct. Honda discontinued it's excellent and affordable (about $13 US) Moly Lube a bit over two years ago with a product that is not even remotely its equivalent. Around the time they announced the discontinuation of the good stuff, I purchased the last two tubes of it that I could find and I have enough left for about 4 more tire changes/spline lubrications. Shortly after it was out of production I saw online prices for a single tube of Honda Moly Lube shoot up to about $50 US!!!

That Loctite LB 8012 product (if it is actually 60%+ Moly) looks like a good deal. Please keep us posted on its performance!

Seems like LB 8012 is known in the US as Loctite item 51048 in an 8 oz. can and 51409 in a 1 lb can...

Best deals I could find:

Loctite 51049 1lb Moly-paste Low Friction Lube in Brush Top Can | eBay

Buy Anti-Seize Compounds - Free Shipping over $50 | Zoro.com

Just FYI -
Loctite LB 8012 Paste Anti-Seize Lubricant - 1 lb Can - Formerly Known as Loctite Moly Paste - 51049

Well I have spent the best part of an hour trying to locate either the Loctite product or a comparable source here in the UK. At last, this has to be the correct item, albeit in a size rather larger than most would require :D:D
