Death of my Battery

Is your battery tester a carbon pile or is it electronic. Carbon pile sounds distasteful but it works. If it's electronic, how does it test the load capacity? The reason I'm asking is I need a new battery tester. My carbon plie grew legs a few months back.

You can test batteries in or out of the vehicle based on CCA's, but in the vehicle it will also test alternator output, health of yer diodes and the starter draw... its a little expensive but it gives a printout for your customer to ponder... if its in print it must be so..
