Dealer add on pipes for the R3T-sound clip

All, At the suggestion from pig9r I registered at youtube and have these two sound clips for my cycle with the pricey add on triumph mufflers. I took them with my Powershot digital camera and neither is representative, but maybe you can get an idea:

They don't sound much different than stock. Maybe just a bit louder ?

They have a better tone IMO-a bit louder-and they open up sound wise more after a few thousand milkes.

Hmmm, I'm not nearly ready to buy pipes yet, but I am trying to make up my mind between the TORs and the D & D set. I'm not looking for big performance gains, just a nicer sound. Not straight pipe loud, just a nice tone / rumble .

Too me they made it sound like an Austin Healy or maybe a hot Triumph car. When I test road it I could not hear it at all and was doing 90 when I thought I was at 70.

Now if I pull out to pass a car or just twist the throtte it draws a head jerk and is definitely heard. Someone else told last week that they were looking for a helicopter when I went by, the old pipes were almost as quiet as a goldwing.

Perhaps the limitations of internet video. They don't sound much different. I had the same thing with the Vance & Hines Big Shots on my old bike. Many videos, none gave any real idea of what they sounded like in person.

the TOR's do have that sort of helicopter sound back up to a brick wall and listen for a sec

To me , they sound a lot different than stock. Much deeper tone and louder.

I have the same pipes on mine.
