The 6830 Evolution not only looks different, it comes with a rather blinding 2900 raw lumens, that's better than my new 8700 Evo 2 by 150 or so lumens. Should make any of the old Daymakers look like candlelit lanterns. Looks like the twin-headlight Rocket pilots have a new LED headlight king to consider.

The price seems to be in line with the 8700 Evo 2 as well, at least looking at the European distributors site - £299. That is over $400, but not too bad I'd say. The price of the 6045 fog lights also came down a while back, looks like they're settling lower than previous generations across the board, which can only be a good thing.
 
Do they make a set that just plugs right into the existing plug on the Rocket or do you need to rewire for all of them. Al

Looks like some cutting and tweaking is required inside the headlight shell is for these, the connector doesn't just plug in if it's a Delphi style one. Just need a different connector - or else you just cut both connectors off and wire them with Posilock connectors. And why not put in an Eastern Beaver relay kit (or similar) while doing it.

all in black of course, I must say well worth the dollar's you have to put into them, I can't think of anything worse than not being able to skip skippy, I also run two 6point spot light's on the crash bars, way more than I need but WOW can you see in the dark, here is a pic of the headlight only with out the 2 driving lights on it.

The new headlight bracket I need to make will sit a little lower and house the indicator wiring also.
 

I have those exact lamps next to the bike, ready to go on. Have been a bit pressed for time (and frankly low on inspiration lately for some reason). Mine are all in chrome, to match the R3 Touring. The Evo 2 is pretty incredible, lots and lots of lumens and seriously wide/tall beam shape. But the 5.75 inch Evo looks killer too, wonder how closely it matches the 7 in performance?

Interesting to see a "normal" rocket with a single 7 and plans for two 4.5's, it's a change from the two 5.75's.

Still considering a pair of stainless Clearwater lights to mount on the crash bars on mine, but I suspect my three new LED's will give me all the light I need.
 

Mate I've always been outside the box, like things to be different, should look awesome, and you can never have enough light..
