Hey fellas, I'm thinking of buying a second engine for my bike which i can have as a second motor and build to be a very quick performer without having to buy a second bike or have mine off the road anymore.

Have you got any ideas? I'd like either a brand new or something very close to brand new. I'm thinking it'd be fun to have a wildly quick machine and try to crack the 500 hp mark.
 
Just an engine now. Guess that's the logical next step after stripping everything of a perfectly good bike and replacing it all with customs parts......:sneaky:

I'd look for an insurance write off.
 
US crate engines are amazing at $6.5k USD plus for 400 - 500 HP donk. Not sure where you would bolt the bloody thing into the frame on a motorbike however it would be fun trying it!!
 
i wonder if Triumph would sell me a crate engine. I do reckon a write off would be cheaper though.
 
Ponters ... Even you would fall over backwards at the price of a new engine from Triumph i'd reckon. Know they want $10,000 just for crankcases ... Why would you want 500 HP, seriously.
 
Well, I'm getting real close to finishing everything i wanted to do to mine so figure why not go back to everyone whose helped build her and challenge them to build something beyond what they've done.

I reckon we find a donor bike and try something. Ive driven a few cars that are both turbo and supercharged. think of how much fun it'd be to light her up at any speed, any time simply by giving it a few mm of extra twist. Would be a pisser i reckon.

Mine is too powerful, am thinking of selling or breaking, spent way too much tuning it, now frightened to ride it.
Much rather ride my little Bonnie now.

Interesting you should say that, where do you think you'd draw the line if you did it all again? +20-30bhp to stock and stop?
