Comforting thought on motorcycle theft

Quote (Doesn't really share significant components with other, lesser motorcycles.)That sorta says it all, that and most people that would theive a motorbike would be scared of it.

:evil:Wrong forum perhaps, but does anyone wanna buy cheap any Rocket bits......

What parts you got tiger ??? ............ I don't believe Rockets belong on that list. There are enough around to warrant thieving them to replace parts on a crashed bike. If someone owned an older model and let their insurance lapse .. crashed or dropped their bike and received a quote for parts. Plus the poor resale value, there would be owners tempted to have theirs 'disappear' then claim insurance.

I was kidding, TC..... sorry! Do have a stockpile of bits, like you... but they're not for sale.....

But you're not wrong about parts for repairing crashed bikes..... I'm stunned at some of the insurance repair quotes I've seen from mates... reckon I could fix 'em for about a third of the quote....

Ended up with a $14,500 bill to fix mine after that little off down at Macksville. Bit of 100mph tape and I could have ridden it home truth be known.. Triumph parts are expensive that's for sure.

Insurance quote to repair Amanda's America was over $13,000 on a bike that cost $14,490 new. Insurance value at the time of the crash was about $13,400. Looking at it there was very little damage but the forks and frame were bent so it was written off. The "wreck" would have been a great buy for someone.

Our Rockets do not get stolen, why? because they are just to heavy to lift into a van.
Heres how most bikes get stolen.
