..you could go with one of these..just put it on when she rides..I used mine today for my wife..it's a pretty nice piece of kit as the Brits say..works a treat..lol..
I looked at that buttbuddy thing but it looks kind of tacky. I am really after a quality seat. To my way of thinking the Corbin looks like the best one but has anyone here tried it?
Good suggestion there IDK as would probally solve a number of problems but no not really exceptable hehehe.
I have done some high milage trips with the wife on the back and we have a Classic which has the triumph touring gel seat fitted. We find it very comfortable.

+1
Though the rear could do with a wee bit more lateral rigidity. Waggles a bit too much side to side. But it's due to how it all mounts to the bike.
I'd not fit another Corbin - EVER. Except maybe on a sportsbike. My Corbin on the Buell took AGES to become even bearable. It's still HARD after 1000's of kms and many years.
Maybe another of our antipodeans knows a good seat rebuilder down under. I am looking to send mine to Either CeeBailey or Russel for a complete makeover.
After the previous year’s complaint of “Numb Bum Syndrome” after a 700 mile run back from France last year, I fitted the classic touring seat with a rider backrest fitted. So this year managed 650 miles on the first day without a complaint. Now fitted rear footboards for that extra bit of comfort for the good lady.

I would have to agree with Doug on this one. I have both the 06 and then the 07 style that came with the drivers backrest. I really like the back rest option for long rides and the fact that it helps keep you in the saddle when you tromp on her.
Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. I think I will stay away from the Corbin seat and go for the Triumph touring gel option with the driver backrest as it sounds like the best option. I have found myself getting unseated with a handful of throttle hehehe so the backrest would help. Gotta remember to hold on tight too.
