Although I recently installed new clutch disks, my clutch now slips in the large gears at strong acceleration. I think it's because of the old springs. I've already driven about 120,000 km with the old springs and I guess they should be changed right now. As actually there is enough time for doing things like that, I ordered a set of Barnett clutch kit, a heavy duty clutch basket and fibers from MTC and a set of new, stronger springs from Carpenter Racing. I hope everything will be delivered next week, maybe later.
Now there is the question of the best combination of all. You have to know that my engine has appr. 200 HP (JE pistons, Neville Lush cams and TTS Headers). I like to go on long rides and am not interested in strong acceleration. After reading the relevant posts here in the forum, I think that a combination of MTC clutch basket and MTC fibers, Barnett Steels and Carpenter springs could be the best choice.
I would be interested in your opinion and experiences.
