Clutch change question

Fred i've been told different stories on the fibre plates lifespan. Been told they will flog out quicker than the OEM fibres by some, others reckon they will last longer than stock fibres.. i got the Barnetts because Dealer had them in stock when i needed to replace mine .. and they were cheaper than OEM. Time will tell i guess.

I ran with the Barnetts, after my OEM's wore out. The barnetts never let me down but they were either 'in'' or 'out'.I thought they were a bit brutal to be honest.I couldnt get OEM's at the time so i really had no choice but to buy them. Now ive rebuilt my bike, i have had the oppurtuity to change out my clutch. I have gone with the MTC fibres with the Carpenter stage 2 clutch springs.I think that this is the way to go, and having the MTC clutch basket (on the to do list) would be the ultimate set up.One look @ the MTC fibres confirmed what i have heard.Way more contact area than the others. It pays to soak the new fibres in oil,as in totally submerge, same oil as what youre running in your engine, at least overnight. While your at it, drop your sump. You have two filters that sift your oil as it pass's thru the galleries.you will have to remove the small plates that cover/ protect them.I was surpised to see how much shtt mine had accumulated. Its a real easy job to do, in fact i think Rocket owner would benefit by doing this simple check.

Warp do you still have them oem fibers. I’ve been practicing racing and I suck at launches, before I put in mtc or busa fibers I thought your offer here is perfect idea. Do you still have any laying around on the shelf? Thanks

I lucked up on them while I was researching your sump pan threads and checking the screen for debris thread post you have wrote about over the years, I figured I better check since I’m not doing great with the clutch and launching thing
